Addressing the media at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri on Monday, he said the opposition is running a "factory of lies" simply to trigger panic among hardworking candidates. He pointed out that YSRCP leaders don't even seem to understand the basic administrative definition of certificate verification. He clarified that checking documents during the application stage and issuing call letters is standard protocol, not a final job confirmation, exposing the opposition's lack of basic awareness.
Addressing the controversy around the sports quota, the MLC called the opposition's claims that these candidates are unfit to teach a direct insult to the state's athletes. He made it clear that TET and B.Ed qualifications are strictly mandatory for School Assistant and SGT positions, with rule-based exemptions applying exclusively to Physical Education Teacher (PET) posts. Dismissing the baseless allegations leveled against Kuna Ravikumar and Bharat regarding their tenures as federation presidents, Ramgopal Reddy challenged the YSRCP to prove their claims. He cited the chronological achievements of athletes from 2008, 2012, 2021, and 2022 to counter the false narrative. He offered his immediate resignation if the opposition could prove a single instance where a teaching post was awarded under the sports quota to someone who hadn't passed the TET.
Taking it a step further, Ramgopal Reddy issued an open challenge for a public debate anywhere, anytime. He dared the YSRCP to prove if even a single rupee changed hands or if any malpractice occurred during the DSC exams. "We're ready for a debate at your Tadepalli center, Benz Circle in Vijayawada, Koti Circle in Kadapa, Kondareddy Buruju in Kurnool, or even at your Idupulapaya palace," he declared. "If one person comes, I'll come alone. If ten come, ten of us will be there. You name the date and time." He released two phone numbers, 9490122964 and 9111555111, asking YSRCP leaders to text their preferred schedule, noting this challenge was already issued during a recent Tirupati meeting. He assured that the TDP would match the rank of whoever the YSRCP sends, whether it's their party president facing TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao, or a debate right down to the booth in-charge level.
Turning the tables, Ramgopal Reddy reminded the public of the YSRCP's own track record. He accused the previous administration of handing out secretariat jobs to ineligible individuals holding fake certificates just for participating in local inter-collegiate cricket matches. In stark contrast, he noted the current alliance government has strictly honored genuine athletes officially recognized at state and national levels by the Sports Ministry of India. He also recalled massive past corruption, highlighting allegations of Rs 50 crore changing hands for teacher transfers under former education minister Botsa Satyanarayana, and how the Group-1 system was completely compromised back when Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was chief minister. Meanwhile, the TDP has successfully conducted 11 flawless DSCs without a single credible allegation.
Praising current educational reforms, Ramgopal Reddy highlighted how Education Minister Nara Lokesh is transforming the sector by ensuring teacher transfers and university Vice-Chancellor appointments are handled purely on merit, totally free from political interference. He stated that the state's youth won't fall for Jagan Mohan Reddy's empty job calendar promises anymore. Warning the YSRCP to stop threatening the 16,000+ newly employed youth from marginalized backgrounds who sacrificed meals and studied tirelessly to secure these jobs, he assured the public that the entire DSC process followed the rulebook perfectly and the alliance government stands 100% behind its meritorious youth.
