SAAP Chairman Ravi Naidu alleged that YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy avoided a public debate on Mega DSC recruitment and accused the opposition of politicising the issue.
Mangalagiri: Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman Ravi Naidu on Tuesday accused YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of politicising the Mega DSC recruitment process and avoiding a public debate on the issue.
Addressing a press conference at the TDP Central Office in Mangalagiri, Ravi Naidu alleged that the YSRCP was attempting to create what he described as an "artificial movement" over teacher recruitment to divert public attention from its political setbacks.
He claimed that the opposition was trying to mislead unemployed youth despite, according to him, not addressing their concerns during its five years in office. He also referred to a previous legal challenge to the DSC recruitment process and alleged that the court had questioned the petition, leading to its withdrawal.
Displaying photographs during the press conference, Ravi Naidu alleged that YSRCP rallies did not include genuine DSC aspirants and instead were attended by individuals mobilised for political purposes. He further alleged that pressure was being exerted on students and educational institutions to participate in protest programmes. The YSRCP has not responded to these allegations.
The SAAP Chairman also criticised Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for not accepting what he described as repeated public debate challenges issued by Education Minister Nara Lokesh and TDP legislators on the Mega DSC recruitment process. He alleged that all recruitment details, including eligibility criteria and candidate information, had been made available online to ensure transparency.
Responding to criticism over sports associations, Ravi Naidu alleged that several individuals associated with the YSRCP hold positions in various sports bodies and questioned the party's criticism of the present administration.
He also objected to what he described as the YSRCP's remarks against the newly recruited 16,000 teachers, stating that such comments undermined the efforts of successful candidates. Ravi Naidu further alleged that the previous YSRCP government had failed to publish a proper merit list for Grama Sachivalayam recruitments.
He said the NDA coalition government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Education Minister Nara Lokesh remains committed to creating employment opportunities in the State. According to Ravi Naidu, recruitment notifications for another DSC, Group-I services and Police jobs are expected in the coming months.
The YSRCP has not publicly responded to the specific allegations made by Ravi Naidu in this press conference.
