YSRCP's 'Two Years of Backstabbing' Protests Gain Momentum Across Andhra Pradesh
The second phase of YSRCP’s statewide campaign titled “Two Years of Backstabbing” was held successfully across towns and cities in Andhra Pradesh on Monday, drawing a strong response from party leaders, cadre, and members of the public. The programme was organized to highlight what the party described as the coalition government's failure to implement election promises and its betrayal of public trust over the past two years.
Large-scale protests, town hall meetings, seminars, rallies, photo exhibitions, and black balloon demonstrations were organized in several districts. YSRCP leaders alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had backstabbed the people by failing to fulfil the promises made during the elections.
In Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, NTR, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, Anantapur, YSR, Sri Sathya Sai, Kurnool, and Nandyal districts, party leaders conducted meetings and awareness programmes highlighting what they termed as the coalition government’s failures. Several leaders accused the government of not implementing welfare schemes, misleading people through the Super Six promises, and neglecting public concerns.
Black balloons were released and black scarves were worn at many locations as a mark of protest. Photo exhibitions showcasing unfulfilled promises and video presentations highlighting the government's alleged failures were organized across the state.
YSRCP leaders said the overwhelming response to the programme reflected growing public dissatisfaction with the coalition government. The party reiterated that it would continue its statewide campaign to expose what it described as two years of backstabbing, broken promises, deception, and anti-people governance.
