Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the YSRCP's politics were damaging Andhra Pradesh's development and accused the previous regime of misusing public resources and promoting violence.

Amaravati: Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) no longer possessed the characteristics of a democratic political party and claimed its style of politics was detrimental to Andhra Pradesh's development.
Speaking to the media after receiving public petitions at the TDP Central Office in Mangalagiri, the Chief Minister accused the opposition of promoting violence, spreading misinformation and attempting to obstruct the State's development agenda.
Describing the YSRCP as an "axe party," Naidu alleged that its political history was marked by violence and intimidation. He claimed that several IAS officers, entrepreneurs and industrialists had suffered during the previous regime and alleged that even now opposition leaders were attempting to discourage investors by warning them against investing in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the Chief Minister, the NDA government is successfully attracting investments and accelerating major infrastructure projects, which has unsettled the opposition. He said the Bhogapuram International Airport, Polavaram Project and Veligonda Project were progressing rapidly and approaching completion, reflecting the government's commitment to development.
Naidu further alleged that during the previous government, valuable agricultural lands were brought under Section 22-A restrictions, creating legal disputes and causing hardship to thousands of farmers. He said many landowners were unable to secure crop loans or even purchase agricultural inputs because of the restrictions. The present government, he added, was working to resolve these pending issues and restore landowners' rights.
Expressing concern over the misuse of social media, the Chief Minister said the government was working on establishing a dedicated task force to curb fake news, defamatory campaigns and online harassment. He observed that women were increasingly becoming targets of abusive content and warned that unchecked misuse of social media could pose a serious threat to society.
Referring to the Kadapa Steel Plant issue, Naidu alleged that the allotment of land to Brahmani Steel Limited had resulted in the misuse of valuable mineral resources. He claimed that illegal mining activities were carried out under the guise of establishing the steel plant and alleged that the greed of a single individual had caused the State to lose mineral wealth worth lakhs of crores. While the government had reclaimed the land allotted to the company, he said issues relating to the Obulapuram mining case were yet to be fully resolved.
The Chief Minister also criticised YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that the opposition followed a "hit, run and escape" approach by creating controversies in Andhra Pradesh and then staying away from the State. He accused the party of systematically targeting the government and TDP leaders through false propaganda.
Naidu called upon the media to expose what he described as the YSRCP's "criminal mindset" and urged society to reject politics that, according to him, hinder the State's progress and economic growth.
