Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to prepare monthly economic reports to assess the State Gross Domestic Product (GSDP). He emphasized that periodic economic assessments at the state and field levels would help monitor progress toward GSDP targets through monthly, quarterly and half-yearly statistical indicators.
Addressing a review meeting on GSDP targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at Camp Office here today the Chief Minister provided guidance on achieving departmental KPIs for the financial year 2026-27 at the state, district and mandal levels.The Chief Minister stressed the need to improve indicators that remain below the national average and align them with the performance standards of leading states. He instructed officials to adopt a scoring mechanism that evaluates performance based not only on target achievement but also on real growth outcomes.Highlighting the economic impact of infrastructure investments, the Chief Minister noted that every rupee spent on infrastructure has the potential to generate up to 3.5 times economic activity.
CM Naidu directed officials to establish an AI-powered task force to monitor economic developments in real time and support data-driven governance aligned with the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision.The Chief Minister called for focused efforts to enhance Gross Value Addition (GVA) across all sectors. He emphasized the importance of leveraging manufacturing, mining, trade, transportation, and major infrastructure projects such as Amaravati, Polavaram, ports, and airports to create a strong multiplier effect on the state's economy.To strengthen administrative capabilities, CM Chandrababu directed officials to organize a State-level workshop on July 2 and 3 for capacity building of government officers and employees. He also stressed the need to fully utilize technology and artificial intelligence to improve GST and other tax collections, as well as overall revenue administration. Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad and senior officials from various departments were present.
