NDA alliance leaders met in Visakhapatnam to discuss local body election preparations, grassroots coordination, candidate selection and constituency-wise action plans.
Visakhapatnam: The NDA alliance has stepped up preparations for the upcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh, with leaders of the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP holding a coordination meeting in Visakhapatnam to discuss grassroots-level coordination and election preparedness.
The meeting was held at the TDP Zonal Office in Visakhapatnam under the leadership of TDP State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao.
The discussions focused on preparations for the local body elections, coordination among the three alliance partners and the implementation of a constituency-wise action plan.
Palla Srinivasa Rao stressed the importance of coordination among the alliance cadre and called for TDP, Jana Sena and BJP leaders and workers to work closely from the village level to the constituency level.
The meeting called upon the alliance cadre to remain prepared for the elections and maintain regular coordination among the partner parties.
Coordination committees were asked to function proactively while taking local political and organisational conditions into account.
The participants also discussed the process of identifying suitable candidates, with emphasis on candidates who have an understanding of grassroots development, local issues and public concerns.
The meeting also stressed the need for continuous assessment of ground-level issues and political developments.
A structured mechanism for coordination between elected representatives, party leadership and grassroots-level workers was discussed as part of the preparations.
Palla Srinivasa Rao said unity, coordination and collective action among the alliance cadre should receive priority during preparations for the local body elections.
Recent meetings involving the alliance partners have also focused on coordinated preparations for local body polls, including constituency-level planning and candidate selection. The New Indian Express
The Visakhapatnam meeting comes amid increased organisational activity by the NDA partners ahead of the local body elections.

The meeting in Visakhapatnam was attended by Visakhapatnam District Parliament Party Election In-charge M.A. Sharif, Visakhapatnam District In-charge Minister Dr. Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, NDA alliance MLAs, elected representatives, constituency in-charges, TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance leaders and members of coordination committees, among others.
The alliance leadership is expected to continue constituency-level coordination and review preparations as the process towards the local body elections progresses.
