YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged large-scale irregularities in the DSC recruitment process and demanded a CBI investigation.

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged irregularities in the DSC teacher recruitment process, claiming that only an independent agency could uncover the full extent of the alleged scam.
Addressing the media at Tadepalli, Jagan alleged that the recruitment process for nearly 16,000 teaching posts was marred by irregularities from the stage of question paper preparation to the final selection of candidates. He claimed that videos had surfaced suggesting that jobs were being sold and questioned the transparency of the entire recruitment exercise.
Jagan alleged that the state government sidelined the DSC Convener and vested both question paper preparation and examination management responsibilities with the SCERT Director, concentrating key functions in a single authority. He argued that this weakened transparency and accountability in the recruitment process.
The YSRCP chief also raised concerns about the handling of a reported data leak involving an employee and alleged that important information was erased after the issue came to light. He said only a third-party investigation could determine how far the leak had spread, who had access to question papers, and whether money had changed hands.
Criticizing the government's sports quota recruitment policy, Jagan alleged that special provisions were introduced allowing certain candidates to secure jobs without appearing for qualifying examinations. He claimed that participation certificates issued through political recommendations enabled some candidates to obtain jobs, while deserving sportspersons were left out.
Jagan further alleged that government orders were later modified after the recruitment process was completed, raising questions about the integrity of the selection process.
Holding Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh politically accountable, Jagan reiterated his demand for a CBI inquiry. He said the alleged DSC scam, along with the government's failure to fulfill election promises, would be highlighted during the June 12 "Vennupotuku Rendellu" protests across the state.
