TDP MLA Koona Ravi Kumar has strongly refuted YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's allegations regarding the Mega DSC recruitment process, stating that the accusations are baseless and insulting to unemployed youth, athletes, and their families.

TDP MLA Koona Ravi Kumar on Thursday launched a strong counterattack against YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over his allegations concerning the Mega DSC recruitment process, accusing the former Chief Minister of misleading the public and insulting unemployed youth across Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a press conference at NTR Bhavan in Mangalagiri, Ravi Kumar said Jagan's remarks undermine the hard work of thousands of job aspirants and the sacrifices made by their families. He asserted that appointments under the sports quota were granted strictly to deserving athletes based on established norms and eligibility criteria.
Refuting allegations that ineligible candidates secured jobs through the sports quota, Ravi Kumar pointed out that several athletes now being questioned by the YSRCP had represented the state and won medals at national-level competitions. He noted that some of these athletes had previously been felicitated by the then Jagan government with cash incentives for their achievements.
The TDP leader also addressed a controversial audio clip recently aired by Sakshi TV, claiming that the recording was linked to an alleged fraud attempt by individuals who promised jobs to athletes. According to him, an athlete alerted the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), leading to a cybercrime complaint and registration of an FIR.
Ravi Kumar further alleged that the YSRCP was attempting to create controversy around the DSC recruitment process to divert attention from issues facing its own leadership. He maintained that the coalition government had conducted the recruitment process transparently and challenged the opposition to verify the credentials and certificates of athletes selected under the sports quota.
Highlighting the NDA government's initiatives for sportspersons, he said G.O. No. 4 had increased the sports reservation quota in government jobs from 2 percent to 3 percent. He also accused the YSRCP of attempting to delay the Mega DSC recruitment through multiple court cases.
Calling for constructive politics, Ravi Kumar challenged the YSRCP to an open debate on the Mega DSC recruitment process and urged political parties not to play with the aspirations of Andhra Pradesh's unemployed youth.
