Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy accused the YSRCP of spreading misinformation, discouraging investments and attempting to obstruct Andhra Pradesh's development under the NDA government.

Mangalagiri: Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), alleging that the opposition had abandoned democratic politics and was attempting to derail the State's development through misinformation and disruptive activities.
Addressing a press conference at the TDP Central Office in Mangalagiri, the Minister said the NDA coalition government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had delivered significant progress in welfare and development over the past two years, leaving the opposition unable to counter the government's performance politically.
Ramprasad Reddy alleged that the YSRCP had resorted to spreading false narratives and attempting to tarnish the image of Andhra Pradesh at a time when the State was regaining investor confidence. He said strict legal action was being taken against those using social media platforms to circulate abusive, offensive and defamatory content targeting the government, public institutions and women.
Referring to the case registered against YouTuber "Ravana" under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Minister said the action was initiated in accordance with the law. He accused YSRCP leaders of attempting to portray the accused as a victim instead of respecting the legal process.
The Minister also criticised the opposition's stand on Amaravati, questioning whether YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy understood the role and jurisdiction of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA). He said the coalition government had provided legal certainty to Amaravati after assuming office by securing the necessary legislative framework, which had encouraged investments from leading companies in information technology, education, healthcare, hospitality and data centre sectors.
Highlighting development initiatives in Kuppam, Ramprasad Reddy said the constituency had witnessed rapid progress within two years under the coalition government. He noted that projects worth nearly Rs.11,000 crore were launched during Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's recent visit. He said Adidas had commenced work on its project in Kuppam, while a chicken processing unit with an investment of Rs.900 crore and a modern bus terminal costing Rs.117 crore were also under development. The Minister added that irrigation had improved after filling 120 tanks with Krishna river water.
He further stated that construction of the Jindal Steel Plant at Jammalamadugu had finally commenced after remaining limited to foundation stone ceremonies during the previous government's tenure.
Congratulating Minister Nara Lokesh on the success of his recent visit to South Korea, Ramprasad Reddy said the minister's efforts were helping Andhra Pradesh attract global investments. He expressed confidence that more multinational companies would establish operations in the State, further strengthening industrial growth and employment.
The Minister also highlighted the completion of the Mega DSC recruitment process, under which 16,500 teacher posts had been filled. He accused the YSRCP of spreading baseless allegations regarding question paper leaks and attempting to create unnecessary anxiety among job aspirants. He also alleged that the opposition was creating confusion in agricultural markets while claiming to support farmers.
Concluding the briefing, Ramprasad Reddy said the coalition government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh remained committed to accelerating Andhra Pradesh's development and fulfilling the mandate given by the people.
